What is the difference between a Registered Massage Therapist and an Esthetician?
A massage therapist is a trained healthcare professional with extensive knowledge of the body. A background of multiple modalities ensures that your treatment will be safe and effective. A Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.) can write receipts for insurance companies.
An esthetician can give a great relaxation massage but is not qualified to treat physical conditions with massage.
Does Massage Therapy hurt?
As each client is treated as an individual the R.M.T. will tailor a treatment plan to address the client’s condition. Although a treatment may become uncomfortable it should never be painful.
How often do I have to have massage therapy?
In general, if there are no serious conditions a monthly visit is recommended in order to prevent many aches and pains.
